Be good to me!

It was a nice spring evening when the three ladies - myself, Mamma and Amamma were out to run some errands. Considering the fact that Ma had to pick only a few items from the grocery store she went inside leaving Amamma and myself in the car. She rolled the windows down so that I could pass my time by watching the cars and people around. I was having a great time, being in the car and not having to sit in the car seat. Just then a boy came near my car. His car was parked near ours and I guess he was waiting for his mom too. But since he was a little older, he had the luxury to be out of the car all by himself.

I, as usual, said "Hi"...But didn't get any response from him, which I'm not used to.
I tried again.."Hiii". He just looked at me but did not respond.
Not responding to my second attempt was completely unacceptable. I couldn't leave it at that. So I said "Hey, Cranky Pants!" I'm sure he didn't see that coming and the very next moment Ammamma rolled the windows up.

Well, there is a reason why people call this age 'terrible twos'.

Happy Easter!

Easter was a lot more fun this year. Hunting the eggs twice did make me double happy :)

The Easter celebrations began a week earlier @ Julianne's house.

I did a pretty good job at hunting the eggs. But I did an even better job at sharing..not just the Easter eggs but my glasses too :)

Practicing a week before definitely helped me hunting a lot more eggs at Dominic and Joe's house. Blowing the bubbles with Anoop & Presley was a lot of fun too.

Happy Easter!

Happy Vishu!

It was a strange wakey wakey this morning. Mamma had her hands on my eyes when I woke up. But the minute she let me open my eyes I saw something so beautiful. It was the Vishu Kani. Oh! how could I forget that I was awake till 11:30pm to give Ma & Ammamma a company in setting this up.

After a good long shower I wore the beautiful frock that Nanu Amamma had bought for me. And then was the time for some serious prayers.

Getting Vishu Kani and spending some great time with the family was the second best part of the day. Of course having the yummy payasam was the first! :)

Happy Vishu!

The back seat navigator!

Drop offs and pick up by Mamma are not just songs / rhyme practice sessions but also include traffic rules lessons (which I must say are not as much fun). But it has helped me to be patient when Dadda or Mamma stop the car when the lights are red.

To my surprise, yesterday even though the lights were RED Mamma stopped, looked and took a right turn. This was not in my rule book yet. So there goes the 'instructor' within me - "Mamma SHOP SHOP (Stop Stop). Light is red...OKIE...so dont drive. You will bump that car". I saw Mamma trying to begin to explain and then changing the topic. She typically does that when she knows its too much for a 2 year old to understand. But it definitely felt good to be a back seat navigator.

Come back Daddy! :(

Hardly did I know that Ammamma Nanu's arrival, a few days back, had a reason to it. Unfortunately the thought of it makes me so sad. Dadda will be working out of Charlotte (North Carolina) 4 days a week. This was my first week without being able to see him for this long and it was terrible. I'm not used to it. Rather I'm so used to him.

Whenever he called all I said was 'My Daddy! Come back soon'. Hearing that only added on to everyone's disappointment.

I dont know how long will this go on but it sure is hard on all of us :(
