Happy Halloween!

It started with the PJ Day at school. Me and my buddies were wearing the halloween Pajamas.

The best part of the day was to get the special tattoo on our hands - the 'Witch's Tattoo'

After returning from school I wore my Halloween costume - I got to be a butterfly this year.

Then all the kids in our neighborhood gathered at one place.

From there we were escorted by one of the elders and taken for something that we kids like the most - trick or treating. As we were hoping, everyone opted for treat which sure made us happy.

Finally after a long day I went back home hoping Mamma will be a little more generous, at least today, to let the little butterfly eat some candies!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Diwali

Happy Diwali !

According to me, the best part about Diwali is those yummy sweets and snacks that I get to eat :)

And of course the lights in the house. After all Diwali is the festival of lights.

Happy Diwali!

Bar Harbor, ME

After about 6-7 hours of drive we finally reached at our destination - Bar Harbour In Maine. Being with my newly found friend, Arika, made me forget the concept of time. This is how we were at 2:00 in the morning.

Of course we were bound to have a delayed start the next day. But hey..thats what is meant by vacation! We took some pictures near our vacation house.

After a yummy lunch (which included 3 varieties of ice creams :D) we headed towards the Jordan Pond Lake. While elders were busy with their 'photography session' myself and Arika were playing in the water.

And then I spent some great time with Mamma & Dadda

Finally after reaching home we took rest and then began the indoor fun - eating yogurt, strawberries, balancing on the sofa, playing with the rocking chair, building blocks.

The next day was a lot more relaxing. Had a sumptuous breakfast made by mamma (Puttu & Iddiappam) after which we went to a harbor.

This was followed by the most fun part of the trip - Biking! I was all geared up for it.

And as can be seen, I was so tired after all that biking!

After all that biking we ended up hitting the bed quite early. Another reason for that was to achieve something that we never thought we could especially considering the fact that everyone in the group prefers being a nocturnal. The aim was to reach the top of Cadillac mountain before sunrise. And we did it! It was so worth waking up at 5:00 in the morning...feeling the first rays of sunrise on me!

And finally on the last day we saw what we had gone to Maine for - fall colors.

Now this is what I call vacation. Three days of playing, watching TV, sight seeing, eating, and sleeping.

Ezhuthiniruthu (Vidyarambham)

Today was Vijayadashami (last day of Navratri). But this years Vijayadashami was special because today was my Vidyarambham too - the day I was formally introduced to the art of writing.
We were all set to go to the temple.

As expected there were a lot of kids, almost my age, lined up for their Vidyarambham too.

And so was I :)

After the priest finished the prayers I was made to write "Om hari sri ganapataye namah" on the rice grains. This was followed by Dadda writing this on my tongue with his gold ring.

Today marks the beginning of fun of writing!
