My arrival

After 9 months of long wait Mamma started feeling some pain in the night at around 12:30am. She wasnt sure if it was a symptom of my arrival or was it one of those fake contractions that she had seen in movies. She woke up Daddy and he was trying to pacify her as he has been doing all the while after the discovery of my existence. But this time probably she needed a lot more than usual.... Mom Dad waited till it was 5 am (with a lot of difficulty) and finally after waking up Dadu, Dadi they decided to go visit the doctor.

When they reached the hospital the nurse said - 'You are 5 cm dilated already'.
I dont know what that meant but I think I was on my way out. After a while Dadu Dadi also reached the hospital with Sandy Mama. I saw Moms pain increasing after around 5:00pm. Finally the nurse asked her to start pushing after 17 hours of long labor. The pushing went on for 3 hours. I just refused to come out. Doctor Aunty had already told Mom Dad that my head was big and a normal delivery would be a difficult task. But I guess they wanted to give it a shot.

Finally the Doctor asked Mamma if she wanted a C-section and I guess Dad somehow wanted me out since he couldnt see Mamma in that pain any longer. Those 15 minutes when they were arranging for the operation Mommy underwent so much pain that I heard her say to Dad that 'I don't think I can get through this'....
My frightened dadu-dadi with Sandy Mama and Radha Mami were waiting anxiously outside the OT. Their faith in God gave them all the strength to sail through those worried and anxious moments. Dad was right by Mamma's side holding her hand and praying for everything to go well.

FINALLY It was time for me to end my 9 months stay in Mommys womb.
