Santa @ Daddy's Office

I always wondered where Dadda goes after dropping me @ School. Finally I got to see that place...

It was probably the best day to be there. It was nicely decorated & there were so many fun activities too. Hey you know what...I got my first tattoo on my tiny hands :) It just stayed for a few minutes though...

As if all the decorations and fun weren't enough, I got to meet Santa..And it's true...Santa does give you gifts...I got mine...You dont believe me? Check out for yourself...

Though there are not as many toys as in my school, Papa's school was fun too :)

First Hair Cut

Turning one does come with some good things in store. I'm glad that finally Mom Dad realized that my hair had reached that length which mostly tickles and sometimes irritates my ears and eyes.

They took me to Snip-its..a children's haircut franchise. Initially I was a little reluctant

But once I realized it is for my good, I probably must have been one of their best and most obedient customer

I was posing and turning just the way they wanted me to

And to my surprise, me being so obedient fetched me not just neat and tidy hair but candies too :)

Mamma has saved my first hair lock.

I turned ONE

"Happy Birthday to You..Happy Bday to you..Happy Birthday Dear Rheu...Happy B'day to you". That's the first thing I heard  this morning
I got a lot of phone calls - from my Achchamma, Ammamma, Aru Chettan, Hashu Mama...all saying the same thing though - "Happy Bday vava" which made me realize that today is something special....today is MY day :)

We reached a nice place which was all decorated with frills, balloons, cut outs..I took a good morning nap before we left which helped me avoid any meltdown while celebrating the big day..

Right near the door was the attendance sheet - 'The Guest Book'

I was dressed up all in white..like an angel...Thank you Vellyachcha and Vellyamma for the pretty frock..I did hear people say - "Oh, she is a doll" :)

One by one there were so many people coming and showering me with blessings and hugs and pecks..I was enjoying all the attention and pampering...
Finally it was the cake cutting time...You wanna see Princess Rhea's Cake :)

I was all excited to not just cut the cake but have it too. Hmm...It was yummy

Everyone around was clapping...I too know how to do that ...And I didn't hold back :)

After the cake cut, Mamma and Sunaina Aunty changed me into a pretty dress gifted by my Tuttu Appachchi and Hashu Mama....Everyone had praises for me...which I undoubtedly was enjoying :)  And you know not many people knew that I can not just clap but walk too...So why not let them know that too...

After lunch there was a musical chair round for all the ladies...who I must say had been taking good care of me...

                                             (Congrats Sanju Aunty for winning)

People started moving out...Mamma Dadda were giving them a token of thanks...All of which was packed by me..Phew...that was a tough job..

A couple of Mamma Papa's friends stayed back to remove all the decoration and to wind up the long day that we'd had..
Finally the little princess returned to her castle and couldn't think of doing anything else but....

I wanna thank all those friends who took time to help Mamma Dadda with the hall decoration, getting the cake, balloons, pizza and most importantly taking such good care of me..Without your help Mom Dad could not have pulled it off so well.
And hey how can I not thank you all for the lovely gifts that you gave me which I am still to explore and enjoy

Chuck E Cheese's

"Say Cheese"...Yeah...I've heard that before...But Chuck E Cheese...Heard for the first time...And wow...what a fun place it is...
It was Neha's B'day party @ the Chuck E Cheese's. I met ChuckE and his friends. I was all smiles and loved it....

Neha cut the cake and then I got to eat the yummy cheese pizza which I loved...

And what followed was even more fun. I got to drive the car...

You think I'm just posing?? Wait till you see me driving. In fact I'm so good at it that I just need one hand on the wheel

Mamma Dadda also played a lot of games which of course has been added to my 'To Do List' when I grow big.

All of us had a great evening

First Tiny Steps

"Rheu..Walk walk..."
"Vava come on...take this...walk walk"
Off late I've been hearing this a lot. But as you can see, every time I needed  Dadda's or Mamma's hand to do so...

Today was my birthday according to the Hindu calendar. We went to the temple in the evening. After coming home I was busy playing. All of a sudden I got up and without anyone saying "Walk Rheu" I just started doing so...But this time I didn't remember to ask for Mamma or Dadda's hands....

What a great day to start something so memorable..

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to all!
This was a fun day...Me and all my friends at school were dressed up in orange and black.
Before I started for school I gave some nice poses. You must know it by now that I am a ham on the cam :)

We had planned on going for 'trick or treat' in the neighborhood but Mom Dad thought it might be better if I stayed home since I am on medication for my ear infection :(
But hey that didn't stop me from getting dressed up for my first Halloween.

Who needs the candies anyway when one cannot eat them!

PJ Day @ School

To my surprise after a shower, this morning, Mamma dressed me up in another set of PJ's. I thought probably its bed time again :) But dad took me to school and all my friends were in their PJ's too. That's when I understood what my teacher meant when she told Daddy yesterday that we have a 'PJ Day @ School tomorrow'.
Wanna see how I looked :)

Happy Dussehra

Happy Dussehra to all of you.

We didnt celebrate it big. We all were a lil down with fever and cough. Mamma kept the books for pooja on Saturday evening which meant all of Sunday I didnt have to learn about some things like 1,2 or eyes, nose and stuff. I dont really know what all that means though...
But yeah I am sure I will look forward to this day all year long when I'll have loads of homework to do :)

We said some prayers on Monday morning and took the books. And I got back to my usual routine of studying....

Trip to Poconos

After having seen seven long weekends now I totally understand the concept of a long
weekend...Its when Mamma & Daddy spend 3 consecutive days with me and we are out of
the house for at least 2 days :)

This long weekend Daddy got me back from the daycare at around noon.
We left by 6:30pm and when I woke up I saw so many new faces.
Hmmm that meant its time for me to show off all that I have learnt so far - hi5, hand shake,
giving kissi to Mamma Daddy, tata and most importantly 'my dance'
Next day morning, I heard some of my 'new friends' calling out my name but they were not
looking at me. Soon I realized that amongst all my new friends there was one cutie pie (not
talking about myself :) ) who had the same name - 'Rhea'. Since we both are a bit of
'attention seekers' we didnt start at a great note.

But eventually we did sign the peace treaty

Shankar uncle made some great idlis for bfast...which was well complimented by Laila Aunty's
special chutney pulled out of thin air

We saw the Niagara Falls of PA - Bushkil Falls

It was nice to hang out with the fun loving gang

(From L to R: Laila, Daddy, Me staring @ Laila, Mamma, Rhea Senior's Mamma with Rhea on
her lap, Vinay, Priyanka, Shankar, Varsha and Vidya)

Evevning was Barbaque time. Shankar, Vinay and Dad's trial and error did result in some yummy stuff

The next day so many brains locked heads to plan for the day
Finally all of us left

Ate
and reached the corn field

It was a great trip. Thank you Shankar Uncle for arranging it all!
