Oceans Beach Park @ New London CT

The Friday night at home and a very dull Saturday made me wonder if Mom n Dad had not planned anything at all for Memorial Day Weekend! I realized my doubts were unwarranted when I was made to wake up early on Sunday.

After having breakfast we hopped into the car with a ton of stuff. Tired of waking up early I took a small nap in the car and when I woke up we had reached the Ocean's Beach Park. I met my friend Ansh and his parents there. Deepa Aunty had some beach toys for us. It was my first time at the beach. After observing how Ansh was playing I finally figured out how to use / play with the toys and then, as you can see, there was no stopping me  :)

Ansh did a great job in the water and sand...All I dared to do was be a good spectator.

It was pretty relaxing for me to stay far away from the waves, sit on my beach chair, have snacks and bask under the sun (rather under the umbrella).

Once the toys were out of the way, our little battle for possession was over and we became good buddies

After the beach, we went to a play area where we sat on the swing. Just like water, I didn’t enjoy the swing either

And Anshu did..to the fullest 

It was not the best day for me yet, but thankfully the best was saved for the end. We finally got to do something that we ‘both’ enjoyed.

I love animals...Well....Not all of them

As I mentioned in my blog on 'India Trip' I've developed an affinity towards animals (especially dogs). It sure was worrying Mamma cus there is no way she would settle for having a pet. She's too scared to have one (unfortunately 'esp dogs').

I've started recognizing squirells too and call them 'Qu Qu'. You know squirell is a tough nut to add to my dictionary at this age (though Dadda tried his best).

Seeing all this Mom Dad decided to take me to a place where all you can see is - trees and animals...something called as 'Zoo'. They thought I would love to see the animals from close quarters

It was a nice cloudy yet warm day. I was all set to leave

After reaching there I saw some Qu Qu's . I was all excited and started running behind them

Suddenly I approached someone huge, tall. I think its called 'Giraffe'...Huh !! Mamma Dadda, just cus I run behind small little Qu Qus, how did you expect that I'll like being close to such tall, gigantic and kindda scary animals (no offense Chimps / Giraffe / Swan).They scared me so much that I refused to even sit with the ones made out of wood.

Finally, after gathering a lot of courage, I managed to at least look at them and pose for some pics

Of all the animals / birds that we saw, the one that got the most of my attention was the beautiful peacock

Thankfully the trip ended at a good note as I got a chance to sit on the slide..something that I enjoy :)

Innocence at its height...

It was a regular first day of the week. All of us had our part of the 'Monday Blues'. Of course it all vanishes the minute we reach home. 

In the evening, after taking a shower, I sat on Mamma's lap for the prayers. On Mondays we have special prayers for Lord Shiva. While Mamma was doing that, I happenend to look at HIS Idol. Suddenly I said 'Amm (as per my dictionary it means 'God') Hi' and I gave HIM a hi-five. C'mon look at my Amm's idol & tell me if I'm wrong in doing that
